Artwork statement

Heath Shimmer is an ode to the precious enclaves of coastal swamp heath and wildflowers, adapted to grow from bleached silica sand habitats which occur along a small strip of Australia's East coast (SEQLD). In a small window of time in Spring, this precious population of plants flourish into a massed vision of blooms ~ tiny white stars interrupting a shimmering landscape of copper grasses and clusters of floral colour and texture.

• RISOGRAPHOMANIA was a print exhibition curated by Ashley Ronning of Helio Press and Johnathon McBurnie. Risographomania brought together ninety local, national and international artists to explore the unpredictable, bright and exciting printmaking process, risography.
